ivball beach club
2008 Information: beach club gallery (2005-2007) will be posted soon...

ivball beach volleyball club offers instructional and competitive play sessions for intermediate and advanced volleyball athletes from 6th-12th grade, pending availability of session skill level (which is determined by the participant's level of ball control and overall ability and experience).

Members will be trained in the doubles beach volleyball format per AVP, California Beach Volleyball Association and USA Volleyball Outdoor rules, regulations and etiquette.

With apologizes, there will be no novice session in 2008. It is recommended that novice level players develop their skill through traditional forums such as camps and clinics because of the inherent difficulty of doubles volleyball on the sand. When camp and clinic information become available, we will add them to the ivball camp page .

All play will be held at Oceanside Harbor South (Harbor Drive South & N. Pacific between lunch tables and restroom) unless the weather or an outside event requires the session to relocate or be postponed. Free all day parking is available off of Harbor Drive South.  Free 2 hour parking can be found at the corner of Harbor Drive South & N. Pacific.  Paid parking lots are further down north Pacific.

The 2008 revised season cost is $135.00 for members and $150.00 for first time enrollees. Payments may be made in full or in two parts (please refer the registration form for further details). As usual, all participants will receive an ivball beach club t-shirt.

To pre-register, please e-mail admin@ivball.com with the participant's name, grade, and playing experience. An e-mail reply will be sent within 2 business days to acknowledge the reservation and confirm acceptance status. Once confirmed, please download the registration forms and bring it completed to the participant's first session.

Because of the limited amount of space on the beach, there will be a cap of 18 members per session.

Finally, no member will be allowed to participate without protective footwear such as sand socks, socks, or tennis shoes (though not recommended). As returning members can attest, the sand temperature gets blistering hot on the average day.

Members may wear socks, but they often get scorched through after one session on a warm day. Sand socks may be purchased at VolleyHut (see footwear) or Fairway Volleyball on Mercury St. in San Diego. FYI - sandals do not constitute as protective footwear.
